SAN FRANCISCO INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL /
Annual Campaign Materials

As the longest running festival in the Americas, San Francisco International Film Festival has a rich history of celebrating and promoting top-level films from around the globe to an annual audience of over 80,000 people. For two years in a row, we helped create the visual identity and graphical imagery for the festival. The campaign received first place in AIGA’s Cause/Affect design competition.

After creating the visual identity, we extended it out across the full spectrum of event elements, from digital to print use. The imagery was captured in on-screen stills, event invitations, and VIP passes, as well as program guides and outdoor promotional pieces.

In the 51st year of the festival we were also part of the team which created and extended the event identity. The multi-colored ribbon became a motif that was woven throughout film stills. The resulting materials created an imaginative visual narrative that connected viewers with the broad collection of films shown, across every touchpoint of their festival experience.
